Let me tell you a little about my story. As a ‘dreamer and a doer’ I have been carving my own path and creating a life that is fulfilling both personally and professionally. It has long been said that if you love your job, you won’t work a day in your life.
By trade I am a mental health counselor with a small private practice while working full-time for a non-profit agency in the foster care world.
I also am a professional violinist and have been playing violin for as long as I have been able to walk- and that is not an exaggeration. For over 15 years I played weddings and corporate events as a solo violinist and as part of duets and quartets and even hold a degree in violin performance,
I have also been in the wedding and event planning industry in a variety of capacities and understand the value of hiring professionals who aim to take the stress off of those who are hosting an event. To go even further, growing up, my mom spent her weekends singing weddings and making wedding cakes, and my brother has been a DJ for more than 20 years. Needless to say, event planning comes naturally for me, so much so that I went from dating my then boyfriend, to married in 16 days. Yes, I put on a 115-person wedding and full reception with a bachelorette party and wedding shower in less than 2 weeks and let me tell you, I did it all for under $10k and had the time of my life.
I mean it when I say it, with Jo, it’s all in the details.
